The Model Farm
From time to time it’s a good idea to raise our eyes from the piece of rock we are knocking into shape and try to remember the vision of the cathedral that we are meant to be building. In that spirit I would like to refresh my own memory and that of my readers as to where we are going with all of this. To forget the nitty gritty detail of whether I’ll be using Virtuozzo or Hyper-V, RDP or VNC and remember why I’m in this game to start with – namely to make money in an automated and unattended fashion.
So – what will be the broad outlines of the botfarm once it is fully constructed? Now that the mists have cleared a little in front of my eyes, I envisage the following main divisions.
The Finance Field – This is where the cash cows of the forex market will graze, with WinPro from Easy-EA.com as the leader of the herd (and others from the same family not far behind). There is space in the field for other species, such as stock and index traders, but no firm plans at the moment as to when those spaces might be filled.
The Gallops – Here we will find the fleet-footed Grey Horse Bots, ready to pounce at any moment on the gains to be had from the horses, dogs and footballers parading their stuff in the Betfair arena.
The Duck Pond – Where the Amoeba bot lurks, garnering pennies at a glacial pace from the Betfair exchange games.
The Poker Barn – Avert your eyes from factory farming at its most brutal, where the Shanky holdem bot, under the control of sit n go starters and table hoppers, tries to grind out a long-term positive expected value under the harsh glare of the poker-room searchlights, with the fear that at any time the whole operation could be raided and shut down.
The Sty – The biggest investment on the whole farm, in terms of market price and feedstuff, the roulette bots are the spoilt porkers of the botfarm. But the day is surely coming when the farmer cashes in big time on these guys – starting with Super-Roulette, who is getting fat enough to dwarf his stymates.
Leaving aside the overstretched metaphors, I’m actually not too far away from making the above a reality. At the point of writing this I have a data centre somewhere in London hosting simultaneous live sessions of forex trading, greyhound racing, football betting and exchange baccarat. Somewhere else, so I’m assured, an engineer is working hard to get my screen-scraping bots for roulette and poker working to an acceptable standard in unattended mode. The only hold-up is that they don’t work so well on Hyper-V as on the supposedly “inferior” Virtuozzo software. So, the worst that could happen is that I revert to a Virtuozzo provider and get everything humming in one place. Hold onto your hats – once I get the whole menagerie assembled, I’ll start to give regular updates on whether they are actually producing a profit or not.
I had the singular pleasure of receiving my first cheque from Clickbank the other morning, which came as a particular surprise as I wasn’t aware of having sold anything. I have deliberately not gone out of my way to monetise the blog, as a) I’m too lazy to look up and include affiliate links when I’m in the throes of writing and b) I prefer what I’m saying to be taken on its own merits rather than for it to seem gauged to garner affiliate dollars. However, for all of the above recommended products I have both spent my own money and would spend it again quite happily, so I make no apologies for introducing a few selected affiliate links (actually included in the following post). I will also probably create a permanent affiliate links section so that those who want to can find them quickly. And I also plan to create a bonus that is worth having, so that those who supply me with a clickbank id for their purchase will get access to a treasure-house of trading or gambling systems relevant to their interests.
Did I finally get with the blogging program? Probably not before time.
What a great blog, I’ve been watching it for a few months you got me really interested in alot of bots. I run casibot blakcjack and VP bots (shhhh -don’t tell egor) which has payed for itself already and than some. I will be purchasing Egor holdem bot (which poker bot would you recommend?) Anyhow I’m interested in these greyhounds bots and amoeba bots as I have never even heard of them till your blog. I did check out winpro and will be getting that also once I find a reliabel broker. If you don’t mind could you drop me a line on those greyhounds and amoeba which ones you currently use and if you know if they would work in Canada also I would love your views on the your bonusbots bot. When you get the time my email is included. I’ve read through alot of archives on here so I think I have a good grasp on what you think already but I would love to hear from you in person in a email if you have the time.
Thanks for everything you share
Welcome aboard Nigel and thanks very much for the kind words. It is appreciation like this which makes blogging worthwhile. Will certainly be in touch on the topics you mention, or you can write to me direct at kellymarkm@aol.com. Cheers, Mark
No problems you dream is actually my own also where I can run a bunch of automated systems and earn when I sleep and do other things also. There no better feeling than leaving a bot running and seeing profit as I have from my casibots I can’t wait till I can get a few different bots in some other niches. Diversity is the key so even though you will surely have losses in some you will almost most definately gain from others. Anyhow thanks again and I did drop you email.
Received your mail, thanks. Placing all of my affiliate links to recommended systems in a separate post, to make them easier to find when I or others go looking for them later.
Hi. Very interesting site. I found it on Bing. I will definately recommend it to my friends. Please keep up the great work.
